Project Overview

This project was born from a request for a colorful but fonctional coaster that could also be stored neatly. The flower shape adds a touch of whimsy while the included holder keeps everything organized.

Design Process

Started with sketches in Fusion 360, I had a basic daisy image that I used to draw above. I then extruded the petals and center to create the coaster shape. The holder was designed to snugly fit the coasters when not in use.

Print Settings

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm
  • Infill: 20% Gyroid
  • Supports: None needed
  • Print Speed: 150mm/s

Result

All the colors for each coaster turned out vibrant and cheerful. I'm really pleased with how they look together, also considering it's one of my very first modeling projects!

If I had to redo it, I think I would do the petals differently. As it stands they are all different due to the petal-by-petal drawing. For regularity purposes, I think I would make a single petal that I would duplicate and distribute around the center.
